RESOURCE AND REFERRAL LIST FOR REPORTING HATE VIOLENCE The
California Association of Human Relations Organizations (CAHRO) is concerned about the increasing threats and hate crimes committed against Muslims, Arab Americans, people of Middle Eastern descent and those who may be
mistaken as such. Already it is confirmed that one Sikh man was killed in Arizona and many more incidents of vandalism, assaults, firebombing and threats have occurred as a backlash resulting from the attack in
New York and Washington on September 11, 2001.We call on people to resist scapegoating our fellow Muslims, Arab Americans, and people of Middle Eastern descent. Below is a resource list of
organizations working to prevent and respond to hate violence in the state of California and non-profit organizations who have set up hotline numbers to take reports of hate crimes and provide legal services.
Organizations are listed in geographical order from north to south NOTE: This list will updated as we get more information.
