This list contains a wide range of organizations working within the field of Civil Rights and Human Rights advocacy.  While some of these organizations provide services and information relating specifically to hate crimes/ have violence and intergroup conflict, you can find contact information on other service providers and private non-profit organizations as well.  .

Some organizations will repeat under different categories.

Hate Violence Resources
Referral lists of organizations taking hate reports and providing victim assistance, hate violence information on the rights of victims, hate violence incident report form.  Please check back regularly for additional resources which may be added.

Hate Crime Resources
Statewide and Regional organizations providing assistance related to hate crime/hate violence

Human Relations Training Programs (National and Local)
National and local organizations providing low-cost diversity, cross-cultural, and anti-bias training for students, teachers, law enforcement agencies, businesses, public agencies, and a variety of mcommunity groups

Human Relations Commissions and Organizations
County and city human relations commissions working to promote positve inter-group relations and decrease community conflict and tension.  These organizations (dependent upon availability of staff) also investigate and report incidents of hate violence and hate crimes as well as other inter-group conlflicts.

Conflict Resolution and Mediation Programs
National and local organizations provideing low-cost meditation and conflict resolution services to local groups and organizations.  A number of these organizations go further to provide introductions to alternative conflict resolution methods and intensive training in mediation to students, teachers, businesses, law enforcement agencies, public agencies, and community groups

Hate Crime Prevention Networks
Community and law enforcement hate crime prevention networks in California working to prevent and respond to hate crimes in their regions.  A number of these networks collect hate crime data and all provide some form of victim assistance, response and prevention training and educcation. 

Human Relations related and Intergroup Relations Oraganizations Organizations providing services, information and conduct research related to Human Relations work, Hate Violence, and Intergroup Conflict

Legal Assistance and Civil Action Organizations
Organizations providing free or low-cost legal assistance and information to various under-represented low income communities.  These organizations provide advocacy and representation on issues relating to immigration, citizenship, employment and labor rights, housing discrimination, racial discrimination and violence and various other civil and human rights issues.
