CAHRO's Civil Rights Awards CAHRO recognizes that most
people dedicating their lives to promoting and protecting human rights go unrecognized outside their immediate communities. It is for this reason that CAHRO asks local civil rights and human relations groups from throughout
California to nominate people who willingly give of their time and energy to human rights issues without expecting, or getting much, in return. This year California Attorney General Bill Lockyer provided the keynote speech
